Chris was born in Scranton, graduated from West Scranton High School, and even though Dickson City is now home, she still has West Side in her heart – “Once a West-sider, always a West-sider.” She has loved animals for as long as she can remember and worked as a veterinary receptionist for six and a half years before joining the VREC family in July 2011. Chris enjoys the unpredictability of emergency medicine.
Chris loves Halloween and was lucky enough to get married on that day to George, a Dickson City firefighter. She is also Vice President of the Eagle Hose Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary. Her interests include listening to live music (The Fab Three and Old Friends are favorites), bird watching/feeding, gardening, photography, Invaders football and spending time with her human and animal family members. Chris’ fuzzy/furry/feathered children include: McKay (a Sato dog – a rescued Puerto Rican street dog), ten cats, all of which needed help in some way (Banjo, Bernie, Boscorelli, Gavin, Midnight, Panther, Phantom, Phoebe, Quincy, Reeses), a Sun Conure (Lemon “Sunni” Sunburst), and three finches (Boden, Dawson, Shay).
