Dr. Jamie Slupe earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Bucknell University in May 2005. She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2009. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at California Veterinary Specialists.
Dr. Slupe has participated in research and publications involving Association of Body Weight and Body Condition with Survival in Dogs with Heart Failure. She is also a member of the California Veterinary Medical Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the International Veterinary Emergency Critical Care Society.
Dr. Slupe always strives to help the sickest of animals, which has drawn her to emergency medicine. With this passion, she has found a home with us and joined the VREC family in May 2017.
Dr. Slupe’s personal interests include cake decorating and building her hobby farm with her husband and son. She also likes to spend as much time as possible with her family including their cat, Lacuna, and dogs: Paisley, Frogger, Brussels Sprout, and Juniper.
