Chris was born in Scranton, graduated from West Scranton High School, and even though Dickson City is now home, she still has West Side in her heart – “Once a West-sider, always a West-sider.” She has loved animals for as long as she can remember and worked as a veterinary receptionist for the past 6 years, joining the VREC family in July, 2011. Chris enjoys the excitement and unpredictability of emergency medicine.
Chris loves Halloween and was lucky enough to get married on that day to George, a Dickson City firefighter. She is Vice President of the Eagle Hose Co. #1 Ladies Auxiliary. Her interests include bird watching/feeding, gardening, cooking, reading, photography, Invaders football and spending time with her human and animal family members.
Chris’ fuzzy/furry/feathered children include: 1 dog, Baby – thank you petfinder.com and Sullivan city SPCA for this wonderful creature, 8 cats which were all once strays – Beaujangles, Bernie, Boscorelli, Gavin, Quincy, Reeses, Snowball and Tigger, a Sun Conure, Lemon “Sunni” Sunburst, and a stray Fischer’s Lovebird, Tiki.
