Darla was born in Denver, Colorado. She moved to Pennsylvania living outside of the Philadelphia area since she was young. She currently resides in Plymouth, PA. She graduated from Harcum College in 2010. Darla has loved animals since she could remember. Once in the veterinary field she fell in love with the fast pace of emergency medicine.

Darla joined VREC in March 2013. Other than the animals she cares for at work Darla has many pets of her own. She has three dogs “Desh”, “Sturgis”, and “Dakota” and a ferret named “Bersa”. When Darla is not working she enjoys drawing, going for hikes and swimming with her dogs.
