Nichole still resides in the same Pittston, PA neighborhood where she was born and brought up. After graduating from Pittston Area High School in 1998, she worked at Specialty Records for 10 years.
Nichole decided to attend Johnson College’s Veterinary Technology program in order to pursue something she loved – working with animals. “This wasn’t just a pursuit of ‘Another Job'” Nichole graduated Johnson College in May 2011, completed a 5 week internship, and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in July 2011. She became a member of the family and team of VREC in October, 2011.
“I have always had a passion for animals and never wanted to see them in pain; being in an emergency and referral hospital, I am able to help ease the pain and discomfort that they are feeling. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing patients make a complete recovery and knowing that I was a part of that progress.” Nichole loves all aspects of Veterinary Medicine, but she has a true interest for surgery and anesthesia. “The best part about being in the medical field is that it is always changing and with change comes the opportunity for new growth and learning.”
Nichole has 3 “kids” – Snickers, a 4-year old chocolate lab, Bailey and Nala, 1-year old cats who were also litter-mates. When she has time to herself, Nichole likes to read, go for walks with her pup and connect with family and friends.
