Vicki is a true Pennsylvanian as she was born in East Stroudsburg, and her family has lived in Northeast Pennsylvania for many generations.
Vicki obtained an Associates Degree in Applied Science for Veterinary Technology from Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA in August 2005. Vicki then passed her national examination and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in February, 2006.
Vicki has always been involved with animals, loving and being close to them since she was very young. “I feel for them and want to help them in any way I can. Animals give us unconditional love and I want to return the favor!”
Vicki is excited to work in Veterinary Medicine and especially emergency and critical care because she wants everyone’s pet to have the best possible care, which they deserve. ” I know most pet owners would do whatever they can to save their sick or injured pet, and I want to help them do that.”
Vicki’s favorite aspect of Veterinary Medicine is patient care. She comes to work everyday because being involved with patients while they recover is so rewarding. “I love to see how happy their owners are when you are able to help their pets and let them know that their animal-baby will be okay. I know how I would feel if something happened to my pet.” Vicki also has a passion for Clinical Pathology, Radiology, Anatomy and Pharmacology. “It all fascinates me, and I can’t get enough.”
Vicki has a 13 year-old Husky/Lab mix named Laney, a 1 year-old Beagle named Luka, a 6 year-old cat named Kaylee and a 6 year-old cat named Corky. Recently Vicki rescued a puppy named Leelu
When not at home with her pets, she is often walking in the woods, observing wildlife, watching movies, reading, solving crossword puzzles or just connecting with friends and family.
