Veterinary Technicians: Emergency/ICU (Full Time)

Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center (VREC) is currently seeking full-time Emergency/ICU Medicine Technicians to join our great family. Previous experience in the veterinary field strongly preferred.
We seek individuals who can work both as a member of a team and on their own. Technicians must quickly and accurately complete tasks while in a fast-paced environment. Technicians also must follow established guidelines, structure, and policies of the hospital while working alongside experienced clinicians, licensed technicians, and dedicated support staff. Our ideal candidate has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Quickly and accurately assess a patient’s status
• Work alongside doctors and fellow technicians to provide patients the most complete care possible
• Perform anesthesia for minor procedures
• Perform in-patient treatments and administer a variety of medications
• Perform radiographs and submit to radiologist for review
• Run bloodwork through a variety of equipment

Veterinary Technicians: Surgery (Full Time)

Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center (VREC) is currently seeking an Anesthesia/Surgery Technician to join our great family. Prior veterinary experience is required. Preference will be given to an applicant with prior surgery experience.
An ideal candidate is a motivated, good humored, compassionate technician who possesses excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and has desire to practice advanced medicine. Veterinary surgical technicians are specially trained and certified to assist veterinarians with a variety of surgical procedures.
Candidates will be expected to follow guidelines, structure, and established policies of the hospital while working alongside experienced clinicians, licensed technicians, and dedicated support staff. Surgical technicians may be required to work nights or weekends depending on the schedules of the clinic.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
· Performing pre-surgical diagnostic lab tests
· Preparing and scrubbing surgical sites for sterile procedures
· Assisting the veterinarian during surgeries
· Bandaging wounds
· Changing wound dressings as needed
· Placing catheters
· Obtaining radiographs and anesthetic monitoring during surgical procedures
· Operating and maintaining surgical equipment
· Administering fluids
· Giving intravenous or intramuscular injections

Human Resources Generalist
Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center has an exciting opening for a Human Resource Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist reports to the Hospital Owner and will work closely with management to support and administer Human Resource functions, including but not limited to: recruiting/staffing, employee relations, on-boarding, policy and procedure implementation, benefit administration, workers compensation, and employment and labor law compliance.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
· Develop, analyze, and update the company’s employee evaluation program.
· Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers, write and place advertisements, work with supervisors to screen and interview candidates, conduct reference checks, extend job offers, conduct new employee orientations, and facilitate exit interviews.
· Prepare, update, and recommend human resource policies and procedures; maintain handbook on policies and procedures.
· Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; schedule management conferences with employees; hear and resolve employee grievances; counsel employees and supervisors.
· Ensure safety protocols are in place and followed and that workers compensation issues are handled appropriately.
· Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conduct investigations; maintain department records and reports.
· Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of department initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in the human resources field.

Client Service Representatives (Part Time)
Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center (VREC) is currently seeking Client Service Representatives. A CSR’s primary responsibilities are to greet and assist clients, route incoming phone calls, and organize medical records. CSRs are responsible for the majority of communication throughout the hospital and serve as liaisons between clients, clinical staff, and employees. We are currently seeking a part-time, overnight shift:
• Part time: Overnights, 9pm – 7am, 3 days per week
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Serve as a liaison between clients, referring veterinarians, doctors, and employees
• Answer phones promptly and professionally; transfer calls to all areas of the hospital per protocols
• Answer questions, concerns, and information requests from clients and referring veterinarians
• Fax and scan medical record processes
• Ensure all data entry of client/ patient information is accurate
• Provide professional, helpful customer service
• Prepare medical records for scheduled appointments
• Accurately maintain medical records and follow protocols
• Communicate requirements of the referral services
• Accept and record payments
• Reconcile payments with daily reporting in practice management software
Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Candidates must have proven customer service skills, strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and excellent time management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Familiarity and experience with credit card equipment and procedures highly preferred. Understanding of Care Credit procedures highly desirable.

Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center (VREC) is currently seeking part-time Veterinary Technician Assistants to join our emergency department. Candidates must have prior experience in the veterinary field, however, current veterinary program students are encouraged to apply.
Emergency Assistants maintain VREC’s protocols and high standards which support the emergency department and the entire hospital. This position requires duties to be carried out quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Assistants must be able to complete tasks simultaneously. Assistants possess excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborating with others in a team setting.

• Stocking and maintaining medical supplies
