VREC’s Teddy Triage
Date: Sunday, June 28
Location: Scranton JCC, 601 Jefferson Ave., Scranton
Notes: This is an all-ages event. This event is held inside the JCC. Children are encouraged to bring either their or their pets’ favorite stuffed animal. This is a dog-friendly event: dogs must be sociable, bathroom trained, up-to-date on vaccinations, and no retractable leashes. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog.
Join us on Sunday, June 28 for VREC’s Teddy Triage! Come learn about the fascinating world of pet medicine and meet some veterinary professionals who will give your stuffed animal a full check-up. There will be many stations available to explore to ensure your stuffed friend is healthy. Depending on the diagnosis, your stuffed friend may need stitches, lab tests, bandages, x-rays, and more. Before you leave, make sure you pick up your certificate of wellness!
We are currently holding a Stuffed Animal Drive to ensure every child has a stuffed friend to experience the event with. Drop off your new or gently used stuffed animals at the following locations from now until May:
– Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center: 318 Northern Boulevard, Clarks Summit
– Scranton JCC: 601 Jefferson Ave., Scranton
