Britt Gross, VMD is one of our Emergency Veterinarians here at VREC. She grew up and currently resides in Wallenpaupack, Pa. Britt attended the University of Vermont and obtained a Bachelor of ScienceĀ in 2007. She then went to obtain her Veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania in 2013, followed by and ER/ICU internship at the DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital in 2014. Throughout her journey she’s enjoyed working with animals, particularly farm animals. However, in her 4th year of veterinary school her professional interests shifted towards small animal emergency medicine. Additionally, the fast pace of the ER and high-level medicine of specialty clinic piqued her interests. Having found her home here at VREC, she flourishes to the high standard of medicine practiced by our doctors and the compassionate nursing care provided by our technicians. Her easy going, positive attitude, along with her excellent client communication brings VREC critical components to the practice. Britt’s areas of interests include trauma, toxicities, and surgery. She is also a member of the AVMA, and PVMA. Like many of us, she is also a pet parent to Piper- a border collie, Rufus- a great pyrenes, and Remy- a big orange barn cat. When not at VREC, she enjoys farming and gardening, especially veggies and flowers. Her husband and her also have their own flock of sheep!
