Clarks Summit, PA – VREC and Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, Dalton, have teamed up for another year of the Pumpkins for Pigs Project. From now through Monday, November 4th, interested parties are encouraged to drop off any solid, uncarved, and unpainted pumpkins or gourds in the wooden bin located in the parking lot of VREC. These pumpkins will be transported to the sanctuary to be distributed among the animals as a tasty treat.
“Indraloka provides “heaven on earth” for farm animals that have nowhere else to turn. We inform, inspire, and empower the community, especially children, on ways in which we can better care for ourselves and the environment while helping animals in need.”
