Clarks Summit, PA – Each October, veterinary clinics across the country celebrate National Veterinary Technician Week to thank vet techs for the amazing work they do to provide pets the care they need. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, VREC made sure to thank all our technicians and assistants for their contributions to the facility. During our most recent staff meeting, we recognized two very special vet techs for their exceptional work.
The Outstanding Tech award, as voted by our staff, is an individual who displays compassion to both patients and clients, shows enthusiasm towards VREC, and is a tremendous team player. This year we awarded this honor to Alicia S., CVT from our Emergency department. The Exemplary Tech award, as voted on by our department heads, is an individual who shows outstanding professionalism, responsible demeanor, and exemplary interpersonal and professional skills. This year we awarded this honor to Megan L., CVT CCRP from our Physical Rehabilitation department.
Both winners receive a plaque hung in the facility, a glass trophy to take home, and a $500 travel voucher to be used in the future. Additionally, all techs and assistants received gifts and a special lunch.
VREC is so fortunate to have such an amazing group of technicians. We thank each and every one for their dedication, skill, hard work, and compassion over the past 10 years.
