Megan L., CVT, CCRP is the Lead Surgery Technician. She attended Johnson College in Scranton, PA where she obtained her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science – Veterinary Technology in 2008. After graduation Megan completed an internship at Cornell University’s Hospital for Animals. The internship focused on Emergency, Critical Care, Anesthesia, Surgery, and Physical Rehabilitation. Megan joined the VREC family in December 2009 and is one of the most senior employees. She feels VREC gives her many opportunities to use her skills to their fullest potential.
In 2018 Megan obtained a CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) Certification, allowing her to perform physical rehabilitation on surgery patients. She is also certified in PennHIP – a special radiographic screening method.
Megan is an active member of the Northeast Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, Pennsylvania Veterinary Technician Association, and National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA). When not assisting patients she enjoys cooking, hiking and spending time with family. In addition to her cat Bug, Megan has three Border Collies (Ace, Brea, and Roy) who compete in agility and sheepdog trials.
