
Megan L., CVT, CCRP is our Rehabilitation Technician. She attended Johnson College in Scranton, PA where she obtained her Associate’s Degree in Applied Science – Veterinary Technology in 2008. After graduation Megan completed an internship at Cornell University’s Hospital for Animals, focusing on emergency, critical care, anesthesia, surgery, and physical rehabilitation. Megan joined the VREC family in December 2009, prior to VREC’s grand opening, and is one of our most senior employees.
In 2018 Megan obtained her CCRP (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner) Certification, allowing her to perform physical rehabilitation on surgery patients. She is also certified in PennHIP – a special radiographic screening method.
Megan is an active member of the Northeast Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association, Pennsylvania Veterinary Technician Association, and National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America. When not assisting patients she enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with family. In addition to cat Bug, Megan has three Border Collies (Ace, Brea, and Roy) who compete in agility and sheepdog trials.
