
Jennifer Malarchik, DVM is a Clinician in our Emergency department. A Pennsylvania native, Jennifer’s interest in a career with animals began at an early age. While attending Northland College in Ashland, WI, she gained experience in the field working at game preserves, animal hospitals, wildlife rehabilitation facilities, and at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. Upon graduation with a degree in Chemistry and Natural Resources with emphasis in Wildlife and Fish Ecology (biology minor,) Jennifer attended Cornell University for her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in Ithaca, NY. During summer breaks she gained vital experience as veterinary technician at Easton Animal Hospital and completed an externship at Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, NE. A short time after receiving her doctorate, she returned to Easton Animal Hospital, this time as an associate veterinarian. She also has worked as a medical director at VCA Animal Hospital in Reading, PA.
Prior to joining the VREC team in 2021, Jennifer was an associate at Wright Veterinary Medical Center in Bethlehem. During her time at Wright, she performed an array of medical, emergency, surgical and dental cases, although at VREC her primary focus is emergency medicine. Professional interests include abdominal ultrasounds and dentistry.
