Alicia S., CVT is a Technician in our Emergency department. She holds an Associate’s in Science – Veterinary Technology from Johnson College in Scranton, PA, and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in 2008. Alicia’s focus on emergency medicine began when working for a primary care veterinarian while still in school. She realized that the greatest satisfaction came with the most challenging cases.
After graduation Alicia decided to take the plunge into emergency medicine and joined VREC in 2012. She enjoys the never-ending opportunities to develop and learn new skills while helping patients under her care recover. As an ER Technician, two days are never the same – she’s trained to handle everything from providing pet owners with routine updates to performing CPR.
When not working, Alicia likes to spend her free time with her four cats and fish. She also enjoys all the wonderful outdoor activities Northeast PA has to offer.
