Adrienne Breaux, DVM obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University. She also holds a Bachelors in Biology with a Chemistry minor from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Dr. Breaux joined the VREC family in 2021 after spending several years in general and emergency settings. She has a special interest in exotics, and plans to also provide care for them while here at VREC. Working in a shelter was the catalyst for Breaux’s interest in veterinary medicine. She still considers shelter care a professional interest, alongside feline and wildlife medicine.
When not caring for pets at VREC, Dr. Breaux enjoys hiking, board games, and teaching. She also is a pet parent to cat Gidget and two Eastern Box turtles adopted from a rescue. During the spring, you can find her outside looking for local amphibians and reptiles at night!
