Adrienne Breaux, DVM obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from North Carolina State University. She also holds a Bachelors in Biology with a Chemistry minor from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Dr. Breaux joined the VREC family in 2021 after spending several years in general and emergency settings. She has a special interest in exotics, and offers her expertise to VREC’s pet owners. Working in a shelter was the catalyst for Breaux’s interest in veterinary medicine. She still considers shelter care a professional interest, alongside feline and wildlife medicine.
When not caring for pets at VREC, Dr. Breaux enjoys hiking, board games, and teaching. She also is pet parent to cat Gidget and two rescued Eastern Box turtles. On spring nights, you can find her outside looking for local amphibians and reptiles!
