Nichole still resides in the same Pittston, PA neighborhood where she was born and raised. After graduating from Pittston Area High School in 1998, she worked at Specialty Records for 10 years.
Nichole decided to attend Johnson College’s Veterinary Technology program to pursue something she loved – working with animals. Nichole graduated from Johnson College in May 2011. She completed a 5-week internship and became a Certified Veterinary Technician in July 2011. Nichole then became a member of the VREC family in October 2011.
“I have always had a passion for animals and wanted to be able to help them in any way that I could. Working in an emergency and referral hospital I get to help animals in a way I never thought was possible.” “The best part about being in the medical field is that it is always changing and with change comes the opportunity for new growth and learning.” Nichole loves all aspects of veterinary medicine, but her true passion is surgery and anesthesia. “Being a surgery technician is very rewarding, to get to see your patients come back for their rechecks, knowing you played a very important part in their road to recovery.”
Nichole has 4 “kids” – Snickers, a chocolate lab, Charlie, also a chocolate lab; and Bailey and Nala, two cats who were also litter-mates. When she has time to herself, Nichole likes to read, golf, hike with her pups, and connect with family and friends.
